About the Role: 

 

Are you someone who enjoys working with people? Do you pride yourself on providing outstanding communication and service to others? We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic professional who wants to work in a mission-driven organization. If you want to further develop your relationship-building skills within a diverse community, this might be the role for you. 

 

 

What You’ll Do: 

 

You will be the initial point of contact in Student Accounts and Financial Aid while you answer questions related to the following:

  • Billing and payments 

  • Payment plans 

  • Introductory St. Olaf financial aid processes

  • Room and meal plans

  • Student health insurance

  • Past due accounts 

  • Student account policies and procedures

 

Who You Are: 

 

The qualified candidate will have…

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years of experience of customer service experience in a fast paced environment

  • Maintain a valid a valid driver’s license and meet St. Olaf College driver authorization criteria with a satisfactory driving record

 

It would be helpful if you had…

 

  • Associate’s degree in accounting or related field

  • Worked in student accounts or financial aid in higher education

 

Skills and attributes we would like you to have…

  • Amazing customer service skills

  • Ability to answer phones, respond to emails, and interact in person with current and prospective students and their families

  • Hire, manage, and advise student workers

  • Be able to work around frequent interruptions, while maintaining a strong attention to detail and problem-solving
