Communications and Operations Coordinator
The Piper Center

About the Role:

 

Are you interested in using your communications and project management skills and experience to help the Piper Center support all students in pursing their vocational and career goals? Would you like to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment with team members who are innovative and hard working? In this role you will coordinate and execute communications activities, manage student staff focused on communications and operations, provide data management assistance and support the general operational needs of the Piper Center for Vocation and Career.

 

This position is 35 hours per week, August through May, and 26 hours per week in June and July.

 

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Manage and execute day to day communications activities for the Piper Center, with support from several student workers
  • Facilitate the development of engaging email, website, print and video content
  • Supervise a team of student staff responsible for communications support, graphic design, data entry and administrative support
  • Provide data management assistance
  • Provide general administrative support
  • Coordinate the Piper Center’s management of events

 

Who You Are:

 

The qualified candidate will have…

Education:  Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience
 

Experience: 1+ years of marketing and communications, project management and/or office management experience.

 

It will be helpful if you have…

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree
 

Experience:  2+ years of experience with marketing and communications, project management, and office management; 2+ years of experience in higher education, including experience supervising students
