Donor Engagement Officer
Annual Giving

About the Role: 

 

If you enjoy engaging with a diverse group of people, are passionate about fundraising and want to make an impact, the Donor Engagement Officer role may be right for you!  We’re looking for a motivated, clear communicator who can reach out to alumni, parents, and friends of the college to engage and renew their giving to the college.  You will serve as the main point of strategy, execution and contact for previous year donors to the St. Olaf Fund.  The work will also include conversations with alumni who have just made a large impact during their Reunion year.  At St. Olaf, you’ll be working alongside dedicated teams that bring their dedication and pride to all that they do.          

 

What You’ll Do: 

 

  • Make and maintain highly personalized and positive relationships with alumni, parents and friends
  • Work in partnership with Donor Relations on creating and executing stewardship efforts
  • Create and develop communication plans in response to overall engagement efforts of the Advancement Division
  • Collaborate with the rest of the Advancement Division on identifying potential champions for volunteer/engagement opportunities
  • Create forecasts and metrics and set goals for renewing support to St. Olaf College
  • Monitor, analyze and evaluate giving patterns, with a focus on previous year donors and sustaining givers

 

Who You Are:

 

The qualified candidate will have…

 

  •  Bachelor’s degree, 1+ years of experience in fundraising or a related field, and a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record

 

It will be helpful if you also have…

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, marketing, sales, public relations or related degree; 2+ years of experience in higher education; annual fund experience
