About the Role:

Are you a highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborator that enjoys helping others and connecting them to the right resource? Would you enjoy multi-tasking, working in a fast-paced environment, and assisting students with their logistical needs from start to finish by working closely with other campus partners and colleagues? If so, this job may be the perfect fit for you.

You will champion a welcoming, inclusive, and holistic experience for residential students that prioritizes student well-being and success. As St. Olaf College continues to navigate the new normal of life with COVID and assisting students with their growth in becoming young adults, we are looking to expand our team with someone who is just as passionate about student life as we are!

This is a one-year position, from June 2022 through May 2023, with the possibility of continuation to be considered during the spring of 2023.

What You’ll Do:

You will work closely with another case management colleague regarding the daily coordination of students needs surrounding COVID, contact tracing, mental health support, housing, and all other needs that embodies student life. You will be responsible for fostering student well-being through the creation of a data-driven, inclusive, and team-based case-management plan to support individual students and the entire residential community, and will serve as the primary point of contact for identifying students who need support, including mental health issues, relationship conflicts, social adjustment, financial needs, academic challenges, and family concerns among others, and triaging issues, providing referrals, and coordinating and communication with campus partners.

Who You Are:

We are looking for someone who will demonstrate a positive outlook and have the ability to work through obstacles, solve problems, maintain calm, and think outside the box in situations with a high degree of ambiguity.

Qualified applicants will hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, with 1+ years of relevant experience in a higher education, social work, healthcare, or case management-related field.

Preferred applicants will hold a Master’s degree with experience in crisis management and/or COVID-19 related work. We ideally would like someone who has experience with strategic planning and creativity in identifying, brainstorming, implementing, and evaluating unmet needs of underserved and underrepresented communities.

At St. Olaf you’ll be working alongside a dedicated student life team that brings their passion and pride to all that they do. Come join our team!
