About the Role:

As a member of The Lutheran Center for Faith, Values, and Community Team, together with the Nourishing Vocation Project, you will work with students, faculty, staff, and vital external constituents. You will be a part of a team that is passionate about welcoming everyone, building community, and empowering people to lead lives of intention and purpose that serve the common good.

 

This newly created job is funded by two sources. A grant funds the Nourishing Vocation Project for 20 hours per week for a minimum of four years. If the grant funding is not extended after four years, then the position will decrease to 10 hours per week.

 

What You’ll Do: 

 

You will:

  • Provide hospitality for the Lutheran Center and the Nourishing Vocation Project
  • Design and maintain the Lutheran Center website
  • Assist with project coordination with external partners such as congregations, synods, and other church bodies, and non-profit agencies
  • Record and distribute minutes for essential in-person and virtual meetings
  • Provide travel, scheduling, and administrative support
  • Monitor and manage budget expenditures
  • Assist in planning and managing the bi-annual Conference on Worship, Theology, and the Arts

 

 

 

Who You Are:

 

The qualified candidate will have …

 

  • 1+ years of relevant office or administrative experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent

 

 

It will be helpful if you have …

 

  • Associate’s degree
  • 3+ years of relevant office or administrative experience
  • experience running video meetings, website design and maintenance
  • experience writing, editing, designing and producing print pieces
  • Associate’s degree

 

 

What skills you should bring

 

  • Ability and willingness to support, respect and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds, values and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community including faculty, staff, students, and constituents
  • Ability to communicate effective in both oral and written form, including writing professional correspondence and other prose
  • Skill in using computer applications including word processing, database, and spreadsheet software
  • Skill in or ability to learn using Zoom, social media as marketing, and creative software
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
